Greg PaxsonGreg Paxson leads the Aircraft Maintenance consultancy at Business Aviation Solutions.  He has held Director of Maintenance and Vice President of Maintenance positions with several large management and charter companies.  Having multiple opportunities to merge acquired companies, Greg has become an expert in process refinement and improvement.  He is an expert in regulatory compliance and maintenance best practices.  Keenly focused on safety, standards and process improvement, Greg has groomed multiple maintenance organizations to meet certifications from IS-BAO (Stages I, II, and III), Wyvern, Argus, ACSF, EJM and other auditing entities.

Specializing in Part 145 and Part 135 maintenance management and operations, Greg has been responsible for fleets over 100 aircraft and involved with all the major business jet makes and models.  Overseeing new and used aircraft sales transactions, he has transitioned over 50 aircraft through the sales, acquisition and entry into service process.

Greg attended San Jose State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Operations with a concentration in Maintenance Management and a minor in Business Administration.  In addition to his FAA Airframe and Powerplant Technician certifications and Inspection Authorization, Greg also holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate with multiple type ratings.  In 1999 Greg founded a FAA Part 145 Repair Station, achieving a coveted Unlimited Rating from the FAA and dealerships from multiple avionics, engine and airframe manufacturers.  This repair station eventually went on to become the maintenance department for a charter management company with over 100 U.S. and international based business jet aircraft.

Greg was featured in the October 2011 Director of Maintenance Magazine (click here for the article) and received the 2013 ATP/NATA General Aviation Service Technician Award for 25 years of accident and incident free service to the business aviation maintenance community.

Father of three ages 13 to 19, Greg spends his free time doing whatever his children want to do.  The family is heavily involved in 4H, youth baseball, raises puppies for Guide Dogs of America and hosts foreign exchange students from China and Korea.
