IS-BAO is the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations, and it is effectively the only acceptable means of compliance with the Safety Management System (SMS) requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organzation’s Annex 6, Part II.

If you operate your aircraft internationally IS-BAO is currently required for flights within certain States, and it will be required for the vast majority of signatory States, including those in Europe, as early as 2014.
